Hotel Maela Rooms

The shower was not very good.

Beautiful old hotel, friendly and supportive staff, ideal location almost next to the Santo Domingo Church and the excellent museum in the attached monastery, as well as the Botanical Gardens, plus many fine restaurants, and about ten blocks from Centro. Included two small bottles of water daily, but also a water cooler in lobby where you could fill your water bottles. Good AC and fan.

everything was fantastic! Central, walked everywhere, such a clean property , friendly helpful staff. YES they do take credit cards ( as we had read they don’t) Room cleaned daily , leave tip for hard working cleaner :) There was even hot water , water dispenser, instant coffee/tea in lobby . We did not try restaurant attached to lobby , but was fairly busy. So many coffee shops close by as well

Love this location. Staff is friendly. Wish there was more ventilation in the room. Windows can't really be left open at nite.

The location, close to the center of Oaxaca

It was excellent. It had everything I wanted.

Staff so nice, they even let us do the check in before, I guess it depends on the season and the volume of people they were receiving. They have space for luggage if you need to leave it safe. They have restaurant, even we did not eat there it was smelling incredible.

The location is amazing and the property is on a quiet street - not always easy to find in Oaxaca. The bed is comfortable and the room is clean and a good size. Front desk staff is nice ! Overall good for the cheap price.

Two double-sized beds - comfortable. Water bottles, 5gal refillable in lobby available both hot and cold water; location was excellent being near many major sites. Parking lot ample and secure. The room was very clean. Had a closet to hang clothes; bathroom sink area had a large countertop for your necessities. Wifi was both excellent and spotty, cutting in and out at times. Would stay here again, but ask for a room in the main hotel area. We were there Easter weekend, so perhaps got one of the last remaining available rooms.

The hotel is in a great location- within walking distance to most places, the staff were friendly, the room was small but very cute - had a nice traditional feel and was clean.

Excellent location near the pedestrian walkway, the wedding cathedral of Oaxaca and lots of good restaurants. Would recommend it to all!
